Recap Of Monday Night Raw:

- The January 8th edition of Raw kicked off with the started with Cody Rhodes backstage.

- Then the camera cut into the ring with Drew standing. He called out Punk and both of them had a fire exchange of words between them. Drew told him that he knew who he was and reminded him of his past. Punk told Drew that he would eliminate him last from The Rumble.

- Ciampa then cut a backstage promo to hype his match against Finn. The match was good and Ciampa won via a roll-up pin. 

- Becky then cuts a backstage promo where she hypes herself and says that she has to pick herself back up.

- Kofi then faced Ludwig in a hard-hitting match. The match ended in a double count-out and both brawled afterward. He drop-kicked Kofi's head into the steel steps. He then cuts a backstage promo saying that Kofi took Vinci's head, and he took his.

- Jax then has an in-ring interview with Cole where she says that she is going to win The Rumble and calls out Ripley. Ripley comes out with a huge pop and warns Nia that she shouldn't make an enemy out of her. Nia then told Rhea that when she wins The Rumble, she is going to choose her. 

- A recap of The Rock's return was next.

- After the recap, Shinsuke attacked Cody backstage and their match was now a street fight.

- The party girls then defended their tag team championships against Green and Niven. 

- After their match, R-Truth had one of the greatest and funniest video packages ever seen on WWE TV. This video package was so great. He told how he had a lifelong dream of joining The Judgement Day, and now he is finally in The Judgement Day. This segment is highly recommended. 

- The Judgment Day reacted to it then. Priest found it quite hilarious, whereas JD was pretty annoyed by this. 

- The Miz then faced JD, where he won by hitting the skull-crushing finale. 

- Seth Rollins was next and said that he had never been a champ going into Mania. Jinder cuts Seth and says that he has been overlooked for quite a while. He says that Seth hasn't given himself a title chance. Seth says that he has been overlooking him on purpose and asks Jinder to take a swing at him. Jinder refuses but then takes a cheap shot. A title match was booked for next week between them. 

- Shinsuke was preparing himself to face Cody.

- The main event saw Cody face Shinsuke in a street fight. Both brawled in and out of the ring. Chairs, tables, kendo sticks, and nunchucks were used. Shinsuke then missed his mist, which ended up on the timekeeper's face. Cody then dodged the Kinshasa and put him through the table. Cody then hit a cross Rhodes for the 1, 2 and 3. 

- This was a very good episode of Monday Night Raw, with WWE building both The Rumble matches greatly, and mid-card superstars getting important TV time which made them look good. The wrestling was great and so was the crowd. This episode of Monday Night Raw is 9/10.
