 6 Top Stars That AEW Could Sign In 2024:

2024 could see many wrestlers having free-agent status. Top stars from top wrestling promotions like WWE, AEW, NJPW, TNA, etc. could be seen jumping from one promotion to another. As many top stars will be free agents this year, let us look at who AEW could sign to their company. The following 6 superstars could be seen on AEW by the end of 2024:

1. Mercedes Mone:

Mercedes Mone is the hottest free agent at the moment with fans speculating about where will she go. Some major PPVs are coming up in the following months like TNA Hard To Kill, The Royal Rumble, and Revolution. When asked to Khan about Mone at the Worlds End PPV media scrum, Khan replied that he would be looking to sign free agents available in the market. Fightful reported that WWE's talks with Mone have fallen apart. Mone could very well show up on AEW TV as early as tonight's Dynamite ( this is being written on January 3rd ). 

2. Kazuchika Okada:

Kazuchika Okada's contract with NJPW is expiring in February and fans could see him on AEW TV. There are chances that he might get signed to WWE or TNA, but him being All Elite is a very big possibility as he has previously worked with AEW because of their partnership with NJPW. Okada going to AEW could be one of their biggest signings ever. He could wrestle possible dream matches with people like Swerve, Adam Cole, Adam Copeland, and many others. He could still also wrestle in Japan, or have an odd match in other promotions like TNA ( depends on his contract ). Okada going to AEW is a very big possibility. 

3. Drew McIntyre: 

Drew McIntyre's contract situation has been one of the top stories of 2023. Some reports suggested that he is not happy with the company and hasn't re-signed, while others reported that he has re-signed with the company. Drew hasn't won a championship since 2020 and seems unhappy with his place on the card. This could lead to him exiting the company. His contract is up this year, and if he hasn't re-signed or doesn't re-sign with the company, you could see him wrestle in AEW under the name of  Drew Galloway. He could also get a moment in front of his home crowd at Wembley. 

4. Becky Lynch:

As reported by Fightful last month, Becky's contract is expiring this year. This suddenly has created a lot of buzz among fans about whether she will stay in WWE or will she go to AEW. She has been very vocal about her good relationships with the company, but it's the pro-wrestling business and anything could happen. As mentioned earlier, Tony Khan will be very active this year signing superstars, he could very well sign Becky. The possibility of her signing with AEW is pretty low, but you never know.

5. Seth Rollins:

The same Fightful report that reported the expiration date of Becky's contract also mentioned that Seth's contract is also expiring this year. As is the case with his wife Becky, he also has been pretty vocal about his healthy relationships with the company but again, as I said earlier, it's the pro-wrestling business and anything could happen. Seth could have dream matches with Omega, and Ospreay, a match that both have teased in the past. He could also reunite with his former shield brother Jon Moxley and could wrestle under his ROH name Tyler Black. The possibility of Seth going to AEW is as low as his wife's is but anything could happen and you could hear Tyler Black is All Elite.

6. Kevin Owens:

Another top star who has his contract expiring this year is Kevin Owens. Kevin has been with the company for almost a decade now and has good relationships with the company. The possibility of him going to AEW is a little more as compared to Seth and Becky. Kevin also has a good relationship with the EVPs of the company, that being The Young Bucks and his relationship with them could influence his decision. The fans want him to wrestle there as Kevin Stein, but all of this is just fans wanting something to happen rather than being a reality.
